Iberia Suite (2009 and 2010) Isaac Albéniz wrote his Iberia Suite between 1905 and 1908. This collection of twelve character pieces forms without any doubt one of the highlights in piano literature. It can be seen as the most important Spanish work written for piano. When the composer finished the last pieces he was already seriously ill. One year later he passed away. In his magnum opus the virtuosity of Liszt, the impressionism of Debussy and Spanish national style is melted together into a real master piece of colour, temperament and virtuosity. The Pianist (2008) (not available) From February 18 until May 4, 2008, a theatrical production of 'The Pianist' will be staged in the Netherlands. It is an impressive tale in which the beauty and the madness of humanity come together. The film 'The Pianist' by Roman Polanski received a Palm d'Or in 2002 and three Oscars in 2003. The theatrical version has been a tremendous success in France, where it has been performed over three hundred times. (Click text for more)
